Bye bye Club Nintendo

I'd just like to point out, for the people who follow Nintendo, that Club Nintendo is shutting down. I for one play a lot of nintendo games and have managed to earn a lot of rewards from it. I'm kind of sad but also excited because Nintendo said they'd be releasing a new loyalties program later this year. What is everyone elses' thoughts about this? Why do you think Nintendo decided to do this?
